Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Production Supervisor who must execute the production plan made by the Production Manager and supervise the team leads, line leads, and hourly associates throughout the shift.
In this role you will oversee multiple activities simultaneously and take ownership of the output of leads and associates working on your team.
You will also be responsible for exhibiting a strong working knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and processes.
You must be able to manage and troubleshoot all technological tools used in production (e.
g.
Label machine, printers, QA instruments, etc.
), and work closely with other functions within the facility to execute plant-wide initiatives.

? Respectfully communicate with all employees and leads.
? Provide coaching and development to shift hourly associates.
? Provide all employees with necessary tools, proper training and corrective direction.
? Report information and update managers throughout every shift with knowledge of that day's production.
? Resolve employee issues through appropriate problem resolution.
? Check and respond to emails in a timely manner.
? Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
? Work to continuously improve processes.
? Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to the Production Manager during the shift.
? Submit paperwork at the end of the shift.
? Conduct daily shift meetings and safety meetings with employees.
? Conduct interviews for nonexempt shifts within the department.
? Perform accident investigations.
? Manage department priorities as situations arise.
? Track absenteeism and timekeeping daily.
? Perform accident investigations and notify management as appropriate You have.

? High School Diploma or GED or related work experience Required ? 2
years of supervisory experience in a production environment with relevant experience in the Food Industry ? Ability to speak and write both English and Spanish fluently ? Strong organizational and time management skills ? Ability to interface with technology well ? A positive attitude, with the ability to work with a diverse work environment consisting of people from different ethnicities, cultures, backgrounds, ages, and races.

Some weeks may require longer hours ? This position will be performed in a mixed industrial warehouse and office work setting.
This setting involves working in chilly temperatures (40-60 degrees) occasionally.
? This is a fast paced, hands-on, physical work environment.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to moderately loud.
Activities occur indoors and outdoors.
