Bexar County Bexar County San Antonio, TX San Antonio, TX Full-time Full-time $3,179 a month $3,179 a month 14 hours ago 14 hours ago 14 hours ago Summary Under general supervision, is responsible for working directly with individuals who are transitioning from jail to the community; providing evidence-based interventions, reentry planning and case management during incarceration.
Duties and Responsibilities Performs risk/needs assessments to identify areas of concern; and facilitates referral to external and internal intervention programs Conducts reentry interventions including evidence based programs, parenting, life skills, and/or cognitive behavioral based classes with detainees Maintains program files, tracks statistical data and documents interactions with detainee to include internal and external referrals, cognitive behavior steps, transitional plan, and other workload tasks Prepares and facilitates class presentations/groups with detainees, materials and presents information to inmates, volunteers, interns, community based organizations, colleges, businesses, and other government agencies Works with community-based; agencies to ensure program participant is informed about support services prior to release Plans and coordinates special activities, projects, and events for the recently incarcerated and their families which support reentry efforts Performs other related duties as required Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college with Associates Degree in Social Services, Psychology, Criminal Justice or related field and 2 years' experience in Social Services related work or an equivalent combination of education, certification and experience Proficient knowledge of community-based agencies and assistance programs; and detention/correctional operations and practices Skill in utilizing tact and diplomacy when dealing with diverse groups of individuals; demonstrated capacity to handle multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines; follows established policies, procedures and directives; facilitate new curriculums with fidelity and in conjunction with best practices Ability to function effectively as a facilitator in a highly detailed, structured, and analytical manner in accordance with procedures; ability to work in a team environment, while also working independently; ability to operate personal computer, basic office equipment, basic office software, and transition strategy software; communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, outside agencies/vendors and the general public; and to maintain confidentiality of clients Must be able to effectively conduct programs and daily tasks professionally with a diverse group of offenders and their families Must be able to attend and successfully complete necessary training; apply the knowledge gained in an efficient manner to each applicable program Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test Must be proficient at speaking English and Spanish May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek, modified schedule, or special shift if required Working Environment and Physical Demands:
Occasionally works in a jail/correctional environment Some exposure to hostile or violent individuals with possible exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious diseases, and/or other potentially infectious material Occasional exposure to outdoor weather environment during events or traveling between buildings Occasionally moves items weighing up to 20-25 pounds Occasionally moves about the office Frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery Positions self to perform essential functions Must be able to remain in a stationary position Supplemental Information Workstations with internet access are available, if needed, to view job postings and apply online at 211 S Flores, San Antonio, TX 78204, 8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
