Bexar County Bexar County San Antonio, TX San Antonio, TX Full-time Full-time $3,406 a month $3,406 a month 15 hours ago 15 hours ago 15 hours ago Summary Under direction, is responsible for researching court opinions; serves as backup to the Felony Veterans Treatment Case Manager; provides administrative support for the Court; replies to inquiries; acts as liaison; oversees the administrative or clerical staff; routes and distributes mail; assists with the departmental budget; maintains personnel records; and performs related duties as required.
Duties and Responsibilities Researches court opinions and legislation as instructed by judges and Court Administrators Helps manage court cases from initiation through case closure Assists the Felony Veterans Treatment Case Manager to assess the defendant's needs for services, determine the eligibility of such services, refer and coordinate the services, and monitor the defendant's progress and usage of the services.
Assists and participates in the collaboration with court stakeholders to develop service plan strategies to achieve individual defendant goals, and establish time frames Ensures documents and records needed for Felony Veterans Treatment Court are gathered and data entered Assist in the organization in special projects including outreach efforts, public speaking, and special activities to promote and support the court Provides administrative support for the Court Replies to inquiries from the general public regarding court business Acts as liaison between the courts, attorneys and other participants of the court Oversees the daily activities of the administrative or clerical staff Routes and distributes mail and other judicial documents Assists with budget preparation and management Maintains and updates personnel records Performs related duties as required Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration or a closely related field, and three (3) years' experience in court operations or administration; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Good knowledge of the Texas Penal Code, Family Code and Code of Criminal Procedures and/or Civil Procedures; knowledge of mental health treatment and social service protocols; knowledge of criminal and/or civil justice system or trial court management procedures; knowledge of legal terminology; and knowledge of basic office procedures Skill in operating personal computer, typewriter and basic office equipment Ability to maintain records and compile and organize reports; ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; ability to communicate with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy; and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, County employees, Elected/Appointed Officials, attorneys and the general public Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek Working Environment and Physical Demands:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
