Senior Cybersecurity Engineer
Brief Description:
The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer is a key team member to lead a small team to be integrated with other contractors to provide continuous monitoring of the live cyber environments and the ability to demonstrate an advanced understanding of agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
Experience with running red team/blue team security games and analysis.
Understanding of live monitoring of the cyber environment for potential attacks, vulnerabilities, and log analysis.
Development of cybersecurity architecture with the ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
Creating and maintaining documentation for implementations.
Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex tasks.
Tasks may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
Leads and is responsible for all deliverables and performs metrics where applicable.
Required Skills:
Experienced in software and security testing, especially with containerized applications.
Understanding of physical security threats and countermeasures.
Strong security first mindset.
Responsible for safeguarding information systems assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
Demonstrated Knowledge to continuously monitor live cyber environments for potential attacks, vulnerabilities, and log analysis.
Demonstrated Knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing security into infrastructure, platforms, and software.
Ability to develop cybersecurity architecture and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
Responsible to maintain and improve a platform Authority to Operate (ATO) in cloud environments and have hands-on experience in Risk Management Framework (RMF) security assessments.
Specific knowledge of NIST RMF 800-53 controls.
Demonstrated cybersecurity experience with Linux operating systems.
Active Secret Clearance Desirable Skills:
Agile Scrum Experience Recommended Skills Adaptability Agile Methodology Architecture Assessments Devsecops Information Systems Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
