Who you are:
As a Software Engineer III - Event Streaming at Frost, you are our code guru, not only writing the codes but understanding the why's behind them.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions for assigned programs and applications across the organization.
You welcome a challenge and want to provide next level experiences to every individual that uses our systems.
What you'll do:
Manage all environments (Development, Testing and Production) of Confluent Kafka cluster Install, configure and provide support for functional and performance testing of new features of modern messaging system.
Work with application developers in POCs to design solutions with novel and advanced product features Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by monitoring and testing application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes Design and maintain security, backup, disaster recovery and redundancy strategies Design of expansion of current cluster and integration of existing cluster with cloud Hands on development of automation to maintain and expand current Kafka cluster.
Plan the roadmap for messaging systems in the bank Provide 3rd level support and act as the technical leader of offshore support team Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for product modernization and problem resolution Always take action using Integrity, Caring, and Excellence to achieve all-win outcomes What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, in a related field, or equivalent experience Demonstrated ability to independently identify issues across interrelated programs and systems and develop the appropriate solutions, typically requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience Extensive experience with Confluent Kafka admin and development Expert knowledge of messaging systems Expert knowledge of scripting (Python, Java, etc.
) Knowledge/experience with GIT and CI/CD Familiarity with REST APIs General UNIX support skills (services, bash, scripting, etc.
) Must have good communication skills and habit to create project documentation Must be a self-starter Additional Preferred Skills:
Familiarity/experience with Automation tools a
(Ansible, Azure DevOps, etc.
) Confluent certified administrator and/or developer a
Experience with Confluent Cloud a
Experience with other middleware or streaming platforms a
Experience with Docker, PCF, or other container platforms a
Experience with ADO and Scrum a
