Network Engineer

San Antonio, TXOn-siteSealingTech is looking for an experienced network engineer to support a customer with a unique and highly dynamic mission.
As a network engineer, You will be spending your time managing small LANs spread across four geographically separated sites and ensuring that they are functional and support mission requirements.
Additionally, you'll spend your time supporting teams deployed around the world and ensuring that they have reach back to a variety of cloud infrastructure and other sites.
You will perform testing and prototyping of new technologies to see if they are able to support the customer's mission, and if so, how to integrate them.
You should be comfortable working with a variety of vendors technology to include PfSense, Palo Alto, Mellanox (Nvidia), Cisco, and others.
You should be comfortable on the command line and experienced with VLANs, firewall configuration, tunneling/VPN, and cloud environments.
While this is not an on-call position, there will be, on occasion, times when you will be asked to work non-traditional hours or days to support the customer.
Minimum
Qualifications:
8 to 12 years of network engineering experience.
Substantial experience with various networking vendors.
The ability to fully configure a firewall.
The ability to fully configure IPSEC and Firewire VPN tunnels.
The ability to support multiple remote locations.
The ability to work directly with a highly technical customer and provide great customer service.
The ability to successfully work with people with a variety of skill levels and backgrounds.
Ability to travel within the United States < 15% of the time.
Active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
US Citizen The ability to support other tasks and requirements as the customer requires.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Power user or higher knowledge of Linux (especially using the CLI).
A working knowledge of any programming or scripting language.
Any experience supporting the military.
Work Environment:
You will be working in an unclassified commercial office space (yes you can have your phone most of the time).
You'll be expected to be on site most days, but there is the potential for remote work 1 day a week.
