Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aftermarket Auto Parts General Manager to join our dynamic team.
As the Aftermarket Auto Parts General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of your distribution center, ensuring efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and maximum profitability.
Your expertise in inventory management, team leadership, and strategic planning will play a crucial role in the success of our business.
Responsibilities:
1.
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of auto parts professionals, including sales representatives, inventory/warehousing team, delivery drivers and accounting/administrative staff.
Set performance goals, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
2.
Inventory Management:
Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and reduce costs.
Monitor inventory turnover, identify slow-moving items, and take proactive measures to address inventory issues.
3.
Sales and Customer Service:
Drive sales growth by developing sales strategies, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance.
Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and providing accurate and timely information.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
4.
Financial Management:
Prepare and manage department budgets, monitor expenses, and identify areas for cost optimization.
Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to assess the department's profitability and make data-driven decisions.
5.
Operational Efficiency:
Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Work with drivers and fleet to optimize routing as well as ensuring customers receive their orders in a timely fashion Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Stay updated with industry trends, new product releases, and technological advancements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, automotive management, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in management or in a similar leadership role within the auto parts industry.
Strong knowledge of auto parts, components, and accessories.
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Proficient in inventory management systems and software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
A customer-centered mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
