Summary:
As the Maintenance Technician for St Lawrence Catholic Church, you'll provide general maintenance and basic repairs for various buildings in a professional manner that assures safety, efficiency, and follow proper procedures.
Position
Responsibilities:
Inspect all buildings and facilities and initiate repairs.
Perform maintenance in areas such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and others.
For more complex issues, management must be notified.
Complete work orders and process them.
Responds to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
Work cooperatively with staff to schedule and complete repairs.
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing.
Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
Correct unsafe conditions in work area and promptly report any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.
Perform spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
Move furniture and office equipment as requested.
Assists in maintaining inventory of materials, parts, supplies, tools and equipment.
Complete special projects as directed by management.
Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding facilities.
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.

RequirementsMinimum
Qualifications:
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience Minimum of two (2) years' experience in maintenance related work.
License and Credentials Reliable transportation Valid driver license Valid vehicle insurance Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Must have working knowledge of general maintenance tools.
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team.
Must have good written and verbal skills.
Must have good critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Must have good knowledge of computer, internet, and Microsoft programs.
Must be bilingual.
Recommended Skills Carpentry Confidentiality Conflict Management Critical Thinking Finance Furnishing Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
