Summary:
The HR Data Entry Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee personnel information into the HR information systems.
The HR Data Entry Specialist will consistently collect, enter, and generate reports related to employee data.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Communicate with HR and Payroll personnel to ensure correct and timely entry of all data.
Design and run query reports for department personnel according to user specification.
Gather, verify, and enter employee information via new hire forms and Employee Change Notices (ECN).
Information includes pay, title, status, and other employment-related data.
Process ECNs, checking for accuracy and contacting appropriate personnel / departments to resolve discrepancies.
Obtain and maintain working knowledge of the HR information system.
Cross reference data to ensure accuracy and completeness; recognizes problems in source documents and calls to the attention of supervisor or designated user liaison.
Pay card administration - assign, reissue, and replacement.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in IT, HR, or business preferred.
At least one year of experience handling / managing data in a Human Resources environment.
Working experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience navigating in an HR information system, preferably COINS-OA.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize assignments, modify schedules, and alter the sequence of steps as necessary to obtain desired results.
Keyboarding skills with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to objectively interpret and analyze data.
Ability to make sound recommendations based on analysis of data.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all data.
High level of mental/visual effort required in order to assure accuracy of information entered into the computer systems.
Ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Evidence of strong customer focus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed primarily indoors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Manual dexterity and sitting for extended periods of time; Frequent standing and walking; Occasional climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and crouching; Visual acuity to read printed and electronic documents; and Lifting and / or exerting of force up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds of lifting / force frequently.
