Operations Research Analyst with Security Clearance
LinQuest is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our team in San Antonio, TX.
US citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
Work with small teams of analysts to conduct analytic efforts for the DoD.
Collect, categorize, maintain, and analyze data using a range of quantitative techniques.
Perform analysis to address specific questions, problem statements, or objectives.
Apply operations research and statistical techniques across a range of military functions.
Define problems, identify performance measures, and perform gap and root cause analysis.
Required Skills and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree At least 3 years of operations research / data science experience Knowledge of and/or experience with modeling and simulation environments and tools Excellent verbal and written communications skills Scripting language programming Proficiency with R and/or Python for statistical analysis Application of operations research techniques Ability to think creatively and function as part of a high-performance team An active Secret security clearance is requiredPreferred Skills and
Experience:
Masters in Data Science, Operations Research or other quantitative discipline 5
years of operations research/data science experience Experience within the DoD or as a Defense Contractor working as an analyst Proficiency with AFSIM, ITASE, NGTS, or other mission/campaign simulation environments Database query languages Ability to coordinate with government managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify objectives Understanding of military operations, planning, and analysis approaches Python SAS SPSS Java Tableau MS Office & VBA An active DoD security clearance
