This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage all aspects of our financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Job Details
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and reporting variances.
3. Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Researching technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Supporting month-end and year-end close process.
7. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
8. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
9. Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Liaising with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.
11. Overseeing the company's financial systems and working with IT to implement and enhance financial systems and processes.
12. Performing risk management through analysis of the organization s liabilities and investments.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Financial Controller role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, or CPA).
3. A minimum of 5 years of proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
4. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
5. Experience with creating financial statements.
6. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
7. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
8. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
9. Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
10. Strong knowledge of and experience with payroll processing, sales and use tax, tax provisions, and tax returns.
11. Experience with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and financial planning.
12. Strong knowledge of treasury management, cash balances, and cash management.
13. Experience with inventory audits and inventory management.
14. Experience with AIA forms and construction accounting.
15. Proficiency with Computer Ease or equivalent accounting software.
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
17. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
18. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
