Job Description:
As the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all short-term and long-term maintenance activities at our food manufacturing plant.
You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing maintenance PM and equipment repairs, ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities.
Additionally, you will hire, develop, and manage maintenance labor and budgets, as well as collaborate with management to execute capital projects.
Key
Responsibilities:
Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with environmental regulations in collaboration with the EHS committee.
Maintain facility and production line conditions to meet established GMPs and Food Safety Regulations.
Establish and maintain departmental SOPs to achieve maintenance goals.
Monitor production line efficiency and quality, providing continuous communication with the production team.
Create, manage, and track budget accounts for various maintenance needs.
Collaborate with production manager and plant scheduler to meet production requirements.
Provide leadership and coaching to maintenance employees.
Manage quotes from vendors and oversee outside contractors.
Serve as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager when necessary.
Competencies/
Qualifications:
Strong analytical skills for reporting on key department metrics.
Ability to provide regular feedback to employees and management staff.
Drive continuous improvements in collaboration with corporate engineers and local supervisors.
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
Experience in analyzing production data and identifying improvement opportunities.
Knowledge of safety audit tasks prioritization and completion.
Ability to manage capital projects effectively.
Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Previous experience in food manufacturing.
5 to 7 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, PLC programming, and SAO PM experience is a plus.
