As one of several dentists, you will provide oral care for special needs patients of all ages.
You will work in cooperation with our administrative and clinical team to examine, evaluate and implement treatment plans for our patients.
Some of the services you will perform and oversee include state-of-the-art digital imaging, head-neck and oral cancer screenings, dental cleanings, exams, x-rays, fillings, extractions, dentures and oral appliances.
Sedation training and state/federal credentials are highly encouraged.

Zam Dental clinics are general dentistry practices with one located on the North side of San Antonio (Bitters & Blanco) and one located on the South side of San Antonio (E.
Southcross).

Morgan's Multi-Assistance Center (MAC) is located in San Antonio, Texas and is part of Morgan's Inclusive Initiative.
The MAC is a unique and innovative endeavor dedicated to utilizing a comprehensive navigation service model to provide medical and non-medical services for individuals with disabilities and special needs of all ages.
This service is referred to as Morgan's MAC Care Model(TM) and is centered around addressing Non-Medical Drivers of Health (NMDOH) through team members known as MAC Navigators that serve as single points of contact for MAC members.
Happy Ohana Smiles, the dental specialty portion of the MAC is a state-of-the-art, ultra-accessible facility that keeps the care of the special needs individual front and center.
The layout is designed for comfortable access for all, has calming areas to ease anxiety and provides comforting sights, sounds and smells to relax the patient and family members.
The clinic uses specialized equipment in the treatment rooms to accommodate both walking and wheelchair patients, and our staff is trained and experienced in special needs communication and care.
Our clinic is currently approved for various Medicaid and Medicare Waiver programs, but also serves major insurance plans and self-pay options.

Qualifications:
DDS/DMD degree from an accredited School of Dentistry Licensed to practice dentistry in the State of Texas.
Texas State Dental Board of Examiner certified.
DEA Licensed w/ Class III Sedation Credentials CPR-First Aid Certified PREFERRED SKILLS:
Experience or knowledge of employment for diverse populations, such as and people with disabilities.
Experience with electronic health records (i.
e Carestack) or content management systems.
GPR, AEGD Graduate Experienced in primary care setting Providing dental care with minimal conscious sedation Experienced in treating children and adults with special health care conditions and needs, including children who have complex medical conditions, physical or developmental disabilities.
Bilingual REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proficiency with healthcare patient management software systems.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload and systems change.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a close team environment, including Practice without pressure, MAC and Navigation Teams.
Ability to interact with all visitors and fellow employees in a responsible, courteous manner to ensure a positive and professional environment.
Responds promptly to MAC Members and coworker needs.
Ability to work with a diverse population of cultures and varied socioeconomic status.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with complex cases and able to anticipate MAC member needs.
JOB TYPE:
