Responsibilities:

Summary:
An exempt position responsible for directing the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, pay sources, and the financial community.
Essential Job
Responsibilities:
1.
Interacts with clinic management staff in developing the strategic plan and its financial planning component.
2.
Oversees and directs budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, and long-range forecasting for the organization.
4.
Ensures compliance of financial policies and procedures.
5.
Assures implementation of internal controls and generally accepted accounting procedures.
6.
Supervises the analysis of costs and makes rate recommendations to ensure appropriate income/cash flow.
7.
Prepares or reviews financial statements for Board of Directors.
8.
Prepares accurate monthly financial statements.
9.
Analyzes and reviews expense information as to adequacy, form, and source.
11.
Maintains cash schedules, inspects account status, and transfers cash as necessary to cover disbursements.
13.
Prepares monthly general and standard journal entries, financial statements and comparative reports, account reconciliations, cost reports.
14.
Assists independent auditors with interim and year-end audits and verifies accuracy of reports.
15.
Maintains and reviews departmental accounts to verify accuracy with coding, classifying, and posting.
16.
Prepares reports of budget expenditures and revenues.
17.
Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelors degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
Experience:
Eight to 10 years of experience in financial/accounting management.
Experience in health care financial management strongly preferred.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
1.
Knowledge of the principles of financial management sufficient to direct professional staff and coordinate all aspects involved with fiscal requirements.
2.
Knowledge of clinic financial and budgetary practices to develop annual budget, analyze financial data and patterns, and prepare financial statements.
3.
Knowledge of clinic's strategic business objectives and employee performance objectives.
4.
Knowledge of governmental and health care fiscal regulations and reporting requirements.
Skills:
1.
Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve objectives.
2.
Skill in evaluating operations as they relate to policies, goals and objectives, costs, and rate levels.
3.
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
