Research Scientist 2015261
To be a senior researcher in a molecular cell biology lab. The lab primarily investigates cellular senescence and Ewing sarcoma tumor biology. This position will plan, direct and supervise work performed by a unit engaged in research, investigation or other technical operations. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise to facilitate the design, implementation and analysis of procedures, techniques, and results which enable investigators to conduct research projects.
Collects data and prepares results for presentation at meetings/conferences, or written papers for publication to enable other scientists to benefit from the project; prepares research reports, manuscripts, and papers. Prepares appropriate grant applications.

Conducts experiments using advanced equipment, and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures, such as tissue and organ culture, protein purification, enzyme purification, enzyme assays, membrane protein purification, cytogenic analysis, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) hybridization, liquid, gas and thin layer chromatography, electrophoresis analysis, tissue staining and processing, animal surgery, anesthetic dosage, and electron microscopy.
Maintains continuous knowledge of development within the research community through literature and conferences to keep abreast of techniques and procedures necessary to successfully conduct research; participates in continuous education programs, seminars and workshops to keep abreast of the state of the art to enhance personal and professional skills. Performs data analysis using statistical software packages.
Master's degree, specific professional/Doctorate degree preferred with two (2) years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in molecular cell biology and at least 5 years of postdoc experience. Record of high-quality publications.
