Paralegal/Legal Assistant

A qualified candidate should have the following experience or knowledge:
- Must be a self starter but able to take direction well
- Basic knowledge of civil rules of procedure in family law practice to draft routine pleadings, discovery, motions, subpoenas and other documents to assist assigned attorney
- Basic knowledge of litigation process in Texas to assist attorneys in file handling
- Possess interpersonal skills of communication, both oral and written
- Demonstrate teamwork attitude with coworkers and clients at all times
- Works with moderate supervision with clearly defined tasks and priorities
- Basic understanding of computer systems, Internet information resources and software application
Experience working with the following programs:
Efiling
ProDoc
Billing programs (example: Ebillity, Time Slips)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Case Law Research (Lexis Nexis, Westlaw)
Shift Hours 11:00am-8:00pm M-F
Bilingual Preferred
A successful Candidate should be able to follow through on various tasks including scheduling and client communications. The individual will be responsible for drafting pleadings and motions when necessary as well as ensuring that timelines and deadlines are properly calendared and being met.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
