Research Assistant-Senior 2015289
This position is created to provide technical assistance and lab management in support of ongoing research projects in a laboratory. The qualified individual should be able to assist PI to maintain operations of the lab on a daily basis, and at the same time conduct scientific research projects. The PI's lab mainly focuses on studying the innate immune sensing of nucleic acids in host defense and inflammation.
Time for Lab management:
assist PI with the ordering and inventory of lab supplies; prepare lab stock solutions; ensure lab safety and provide safety training to future employees; keep work lab surfaces clean and orderly etc.
Time for conducting scientific research projects according to PI's instructions
Time for maintaining mouse colony
Bachelor's degree in a basic science with two (2) years experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred applicant should have at least 3 years of biomedical research laboratory experiences. In addition, it is required that the candidate has animal working experiences, molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology research skills. Specific job duty includes:
In addition to maintain the mouse colony, genotyping, tissue culture work, molecular cloning, protein expression and purification etc.
