The Team
We are currently seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer for our Aerospace and Defense Practice.
We take pride in having partnered with the Department of Defense for more than 70 years on our facilities and infrastructure projects designed to protect, train and service military personnel and their families. From hangers and airfields to training and command facilities, you could be part of a team that is changing the landscape of national security. Whatever military projects arise, we're ready to support our uniformed men and women that protect and serve our nation.
The Opportunity
This position will be responsible for the structural design of buildings and have the ability to perform detailed engineering calculations and aid in the development of drawings. This individual will be required to communicate and coordinate activities with other disciplines including architecture, mechanical, plumbing and electrical.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, with a structural emphasis, from an ABET accredited university.
1-4 years' working experience in the structural engineering field.
EIT Certification.
Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices as related to structural engineering design, systems, calculations, along with application of engineering methods, construction methods and materials.
Experience with design of concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures a plus.
Skilled in the use of computers, structural design and analysis software a plus.
Due to the nature of client projects, US citizenship or permanent legal residency is required.
This role may require up to 30% travel.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Working experience with REVIT and/or AutoCAD
Prior internship experience
