Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED required
Associate degree preferred
Experience:
Experience interacting with health plans and healthcare facicities strongly preferred
Three years relevant work experience strongly preferred
At least one year experience as an outreach or provider relations representative strongly preferred
Skills & Abilities:
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Familiar with all Internet Engines

Job Description: LogistiCare is the nation's leading managed healthcare organization specializing in the management of healthcare transportation benefits. LogistiCare's client base consists of state and local government agencies (Medicaid agencies, transit authorities, school boards), managed care organizations and hospitals. LogistiCare is not a provider of transportation vehicles (we do not physically own vehicles). Instead, LogistiCare manages a network of transportation providers and provides the administrative infrastructure to authorize services and provide billing and claims payment functionality allowing LogistiCare to offer a complete outsourcing solution to our clients.
LogistiCare seeks an Outreach Coordinator for our operations center that will be located in Long Island City, NY. The Outreach Coordinator functions as an advocate within the non-emergency medical transportation system for patients and healthcare facility personnel by providing in-service training to facilities on how to use NET services effectively and to promote positive relationships by performing the following duties:
Essential Functions:
Responsible for providing community based outreach and education activity
Develops on-going relationships with facilities through face to face meetings, phone calls and group presentations
Maintains positive relationships with facilities
Provides in-service training to facilities on how to use NET services effectively
Travel to healthcare facilities as required
Provides post-meeting follow up/communication to healthcare facilities and Logisticare departments accordingly
Maintains open lines of communication
Other duties as assigned
