Job Description
Summary:
The Driver is responsible for transporting hotel guests to/from assigned destinations safely, efficiently and courteously.
S/he will adhere to all local and state driving laws.
S/he ensures safety and security of passengers and vehicle.
The Driver shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.

Essential Job Functions:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standardsMaintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Use equipment only as intendedAnticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of daMaintain positive guest relations at all times.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfactionMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasReview log book and meet with Supervisor to learn daily business activity and assignmentsInspect vehicle for damage; document required repairsInspect vehicle for operating condition and rectify any deficiencies (i.
e.
, tire pressure, oil/fuel/water levels)Inspect vehicle for cleanliness, inside and out; rectify any deficienciesCommunicate vehicle maintenance needs to Director of Guest ServicesRemain in assigned post position, maintaining correct stanceObey all traffic and driving regulationsRemain on scheduled route at all timesEnsure the safety of all passengers and their belongingsDrive the vehicle to transport guests/visitors to and from designated destinationsMeet and greet designated passengers for pick up areasCommunicate any delays, problems and passenger needs with the hotel by radio, using proper codesLoad/unload passengers' luggage into/out of the vehicleMaintain conversation with passengers according to their needsFollow designated procedures for vehicle breakdowns and accidentsDocument all trips accurately prior to the start of and at the conclusion of eachAnswer vehicle/department telephone within 3 rings using correct greeting and telephone etiquetteEnsure security of vehicle keysPark vehicle in designated location when not in use.
Other duties as assignedExperience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent requiredCDL License requiredPrior hospitality experience preferredPrior Valet Attendant or Transportation experience preferredExperience in driving vehiclesAt least one year customer service experience preferredJob Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust have valid Driver's license and meet resort driving standardsMust be able to Drive all vehicle types.
Must be able to drive guests safely in extreme weather conditions (rain, wind, fog)Must be able to work well under pressureMust be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and writtenMust possesses excellent communication skillsMust be professional in appearance and demeanorMust always ensure a teamwork environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associatesMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerMust have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsWorking Conditions:
