Job Description
Summary:
The Cocktail Server is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned food and beverage outlets.
S/he will take orders, deliver food, drinks and other items to guests.
The Cocktail Server will act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests.
S/he will assist with maintaining the Resort standards and shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times.

Essential Functions:
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
Use equipment only as intended.
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guestsAnswer questions on menu/alcoholic selections to guestsCommunicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchenMaintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes in outlet assigned.
Record transaction in POS system at time of orderCheck in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beveragesSet tables according to service standardsCommunicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cooking orders, and product availabilityMaintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
, throughout the dayComplete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.
Present physical and accurate check to guests and process paymentsEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalWelcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standardsRun food and bus tables when you find extra timeAnticipate and address guests service needsSpeak with others using clear and professional languageDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goalsEnsure adherence to quality expectations and standardsMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

High school education or equivalent requiredPrior hospitality experience preferredAt least one year high volume restaurant serving experience preferredAt least one year food & beverage experience preferredAt least 6 months POS system experience preferredAdequate wine, beer and mixed drink knowledge preferredJob Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust be at least 18 years of age Must be able to work well under pressureMust be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written Must be highly detailed orientated Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment Must have excellent listening skills Must possess excellent communication skills Must be professional in appearance and demeanor Must always ensure a teamwork environment Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guestsWorking Conditions:
Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Must be able to bend, squat, push and pull frequently; Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, squeezing, overhead reaching and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently.
