Vehicle Description This is a 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe equipped with a 289 (V8) and Edelbrock 4 brl carb and 4-speed automatic transmission.
This vehicle was originally sold and driven in California and was later brought to Texas.
Restoration work began in the 1990's and has continued through this past year.
We have an extensive file with receipts for purchases dating back into 1990's as well as several thousand spent in 2020 with additional mechanical work.
According to the history passed on from the previous owner, the car was stored in a climate-controlled garage after the passing of a relative that owned the vehicle directly before he did.
We took possession of the car in 2020.
Additional work was done mechanically to the car during summer 2020 including work on the brakes, new alternator, new battery, new wheels and tires, tune-up, oil, and transmission fluid change.
The original color of this mustang was Wimbelton White but it's now painted more of a poppy red.
We have included a Marti report with additional information on the origins.
Paint is in good condition but not perfect.
I've tried to capture some of the flaws in the pictures as well as the nice condition that the car is overall.
The inside (head liner, carpet, seats and dash) are all in excellent condition.
The only major missing pieces are the places left for two rear speakers that we've left open for future improvement.
This car gets a lot of looks when we drive it on weekends or to a car show.
The color, nice tires, and the rumble of the engine are unmistakable.
It's been a good car for us but it's time to sell it and make the necessary space for a new project car.
