This horn has been disassembled and cleaned. Inspected for repairs and reassembled. Playtested to determine quality by experienced hornist. Leadpipe resanitized after playtest. Technical: The rotors show a good to very good level of tightness within their casings and rotate smoothly. The valve slides show a very good level of tightness within their casings and slide smoothly. Compression is very good. The horn shows moderate denting throughout horn with heavy scuffs and scratches. Lacquer wear is moderate throughout horn. Bracing is secure. Previous solder work. Playtest: The horn produces a slightly dark tone. Centering on the horn is good throughout the range, showing a little more strength in the lower register. Horn requires limited hand/bell technique. F to Bb is very good. Horn comes with hardcase in fair/good condition. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns regarding the horn or hardcase.
